Working out of a tiny bedroom studio in the Midwest

and enlisting a battery of synths, samplers and sequencers,

RiffJam Tribe combines rotorhythmic jams with spacey electronic instrumentals.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         -WORKING  ON  A  ELECTRIC-BLUE  "STUDIO TAN"  

ROTORHYTHMS:                                                                                                                                                                                               What     they    ARE      and    WHY    they're      so      cool....

ROTORHYTHM ( Ro-Toe-Ri-Thim )

Definition:  A simple, repeating four-to-seven chord rock-riff      that gains energy and momentum by layering and slightly shifting it's cadence over time.  Has been known to cause "out-of-body" experiences in listeners. 

 

Examples:  Hawkwind's "Levitation", "Time We Left This World"    ( -Orig. "Doremi" version ), Montrose's "Space Station # 5", etc.  

RIFFJAM      TRIBE:                                                                                                                                                                                                It's     all     in    the    name....

Take a four to seven chord rock-riff.  Jam with it.  Add a "tribal feel" to it.                                                                           RIFF + JAM + TRIBE = RIFFJAM TRIBE!  Get it?                                                                             

 

Then build it up "layer-upon-layer". Gradually accelerate  the tempo.  Let the riff evolve, change                  and gain momentum ( -by slightly shifting it's chord-change timing and cadence ). Burnish til it glows "incandescent orange". Bring to a pulse-pounding, adrenilin-rushing climax. That's the RIFFJAM TRIBE  "formula". Hawkwind's employed this "formula" from time-to-time on some of their songs ( -see the

examples listed above ). 

 

My other songs veer towards the "spacey" and electronic. Head music. Mind music. Like a trip into space minus  the NASA booster-rockets. Strap-in for a journey to the other side of your mind...

What's that landing in the forest? Curious things caught in "fleeting glimpses". Was that real or not?  Those are some of the places "RJT's" music goes.  If it "goes bump in the night" ( or ) sends an other-worldly shiver up your spine, "RJT's" music is there.  I enjoy being intrigued and WONDERING don't you?                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                A  "RIFFJAM TRIBE" MOMENT....

Did U.S. Special Forces clash with aliens at an underground base in 1979'?      Are advanced aircraft derived from recovered UFO technology being flown        out at Nevada's Area 51?                                                                                                                                                                                                  "EYES  ONLY"  ROCK  MUSIC... 

The Nevada Test Site's "Area 51" is a secret government    reserve the size of Connecticut.  What's going on there?        U.S. taxpayers fund it's operation yet we're not allowed           to know what's going on there? 

Curious....

Are Crop Circles and the "Face on Mars" wake-up calls          for mankind?  Is the ET/ "Inter-dimensional" presence benelovent or malevolent? 

 

In 1974 Carl Sagan and S.E.T.I. sent a message into space        ( -from Puerto Rico's Arecibo Radio Telescope ). In 2002, this crop circle appears near Britain's Chilbolton Radio Telescope. The year prior, a crop circle adjacent to Chilbolton "answers"                  CHILBOLTON  "CROP CIRCLE"  Sagan's 1974 "data-strip" with specifics ( -on E.T. height, mathematics, DNA and location in the universe ). 

"I      enjoy     being    intrigued                                                                  and    wondering .....don't    you?"

Is the "Face on Mars" ( -and complex of structures near it ),      simply "abberations of light and shadow" or something            more tangible and solid? 

 

Are Biblical passages referring to the "Annunaki" and "Nephlihim"  ( -and the "corruption" of human DNA by "fallen angels" ) only    myths and legends or something more?                                                                                                                                                  THE  "FACE  ON  MARS"

And from the dawn of mankind til the present -is all     

of this interrelated ( -and still being played-out right underneath our uneducated noses? ). 

 

These are some of the questions "RiffJam Tribe's" music ponders.                                                                                   Could this intricate "Crop Circle" be the work of hedgehogs    ( or ) hoaxers?  If so, England has some pretty precise and disciplined rodents and drunken revellers!

And somewhere in the remote recesses of Amazonia a few            "uncontacted" stone-age tribes remain oblivious to the modern world....

 

A fact that makes me happy.

Debut    Album:      recording    underway...

Riffjam Tribe's first album. The title has many meanings. From mankind's "first contact"  with extraterrestrial beings ( -through written and "suppressed" history ), to the modern world's encroachment upon primitive tribes living in the Amazon, to the Native American experience of being overwhelmed by settlers to the

New World. "First Contact" delves into these topics -setting groundwork for future albums.
