What can you say about the band that literally created  the Space Rock genre? One time bassist for Hawkwind, Adrain Shaw has racked up a phenom-enal discography over the years ( -playing with the likes of High Tide, Magic Muscle, Arthur Brown and many others ).  Most recently, "Ade" has been associated with "The Bevis Frond" and has produced several of his own albums as well. Recording music tracks in a local cave ( -for one of their albums ), using a battery of guitar effects pedals, utilizing clever tape tricks, sound processors and synths -Floorian has taken "guitar music" beyond anything  most people have ever heard. Combining hard-rock with biting, satirical lyrics, Clutch will put a smile on your face.  Their unique, tongue-in-cheek "take" on current affairs and sci-fi futurism is not to be missed. Watch a couple of their enter-taining music videos below. Before long, you'll "get em' ".

 Kyuss plays California "desert-metal".  That's about as close as I can come to categorizing it. What ever you call it, some of their songs ( -like "Green Machine"  and "Gardenia" ) really rock!

Country music on a program dedicated to "Cutting Edge Rock"? You bet! "Caribou Stew" serves up a totally unique sound ( -that's a perfect "counterpoint" to our more rock-oriented fare ). Hailing from Canada, this young "Alternative Country" band boasts both superb musicianship and intriguing lyrics that'll keep you humming their tunes all day long. Utilizing a battery of analog synths and keyboards, Erik Norlander  weaves his tapestry of warm analog magic accompanied by some of the finest studio musicians around ( -Freddie DeMarco on guitars, Mark Matthews on bass, Nick LePar on drums, Mark McCrite on acoustic guitar -and occassionally Lana Lane -his wife on vocals ).
